Roots & Jones Founders Collection Bocote Pen

Introducing our Founders Collection. This style of writing instrument was the very first design we ever created. After 5 years of learning the craft, we are bringing it back with much better quality, featuring improved finishing techniques, palladium-plated hardware, and the Roots & Jones LuxeFlow Refill.

The Founders Collection is a slimmer style compared to our Magnetic Rollerball and to our Ambassador collections. The cap is screwed onto the base of the pen and then twists off to reveal the rollerball nib, with the option to be threaded onto the pen's back when writing. Now, let's explore the distinctive qualities of the Founders Collection, with a closer look at the exquisite material that sets each pen apart.

Bocote wood, a decorative exotic wood originating from Mexico through lower Central America, is one of the first woods we ever worked with. It embodies timeless qualities, reminiscent of nature, with its earthly tones and distinctive wood grain. Notably, Bocote is extensively used as a shade species for coffee throughout Latin America.
