Roots & Jones Founders Collection Yellow Cedar Burl Pen
Introducing our Founders Collection. This style of writing instrument was the very first design we ever created. After 5 years of learning the craft, we are bringing it back with much better quality, featuring improved finishing techniques, palladium-plated hardware, and the Roots & Jones LuxeFlow Refill.
The Founders Collection is a slimmer style compared to our Magnetic Rollerball and to our Ambassador collections. The cap is screwed onto the base of the pen and then twists off to reveal the rollerball nib, with the option to be threaded onto the pen's back when writing. Now, let's explore the distinctive qualities of the Founders Collection, with a closer look at the exquisite material that sets each pen apart.
Found only on the Pacific coast of Canada and Alaska, Yellow Cedar is the hardest known cedar globally, prized by boat builders for its exceptional resistance to weather and insects. Initially used by the West Coast Indians for historic Totem Poles and war canoes, Yellow Cedar is a rare and often challenging-to-find lumber species. Our Yellow Cedar Burl, sourced from deformities in trees, makes each item made from this wood highly unique and one of a kind.
All of our writing instruments come with a Roots & Jones Certificate of Authenticity and box.
